Albert Leroy Sergent, 88, went to be with the Lord December 18, 2017 in Warm Springs, Montana.
Albert was an identical twin and the fourth child born to Benjamin Harris Sergent and Delilah Margret Bailey on October 19, 1929 in Wolf Point, Montana. He went to grade school in New Deal. He moved to Minnesota to live with his family. He went in the Army November 17, 1948 and was stationed in Alaska during the Korean War Era. He was discharged July 28, 1952.
He married Ruby Crause November 26, 1952 in Wolf Point, Montana They had six children and later divorced in 1964. He married Lorene Crider in 1965 and together they raised the six children.
He worked lots of odd jobs in Montana when he came back from Minnesota. He was a sheep herder, he cleaned lots of different places like the City Cafe, the First Security Bank and their computer building and the rest area west of Glasgow. He plowed snow, but his main jobs were working at the Chevy garage and the Glasgow Post Office as the custodian maintenance man, from which he retired.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends. Christmas was his favorite holiday where he would put up his Christmas village around the tree and in the surrounding areas of the house. He liked visiting and playing cards and bingo with his close friends at Nemont Manor, Leona Garsjo, Hilda Rosencrans, Ron Bradford, Cecil Speer and Darryl Cozad.
He is preceded in death by his parents Benjamin and Delilah; two wives Ruby Sergent and Loraine Crider; two brothers George Sergent and his identical twin, Alfred; and two sisters Florence Sergent and Ethal Underwood.
He is survived by all six children Robert Holms and his wife Connie, of Oregon, David Sergent and his wife Diane, of St. Marie, Montana, Carol Dixon and her husband William, of Anaconda, Montana Jerry Sergent and his wife Noreen, of Williston, North Dakota, Betty Frizzell and her husband Curtis, of Arp, Texas, and Gloria Kountz (Joe Yeoman) of Glasgow, Montana; two brothers, Delvin Sergent and his wife Betty, of Texas and Wilfred Sergent of Helena, Montana; two sisters Myrtle McClerry of Helena, Montana and Aletha Crampton of Minnesota; 16 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; as well as many nieces and nephews.
