Brian Lee Jackson

April 11, 1972 — March 9, 2020

Brian Lee Jackson, “Shunkjukan Saba” (Black Coyote) or as others know him best, “Maco Dog”, was born in Wolf Point, Montana on April 11, 1972 to Ethel “Pie” Jackson and Richard Pipe. He spent a lot of time with his stepfather, Dale King, in his early childhood with his younger sibling.  He spent his teen years running around town with his “brothers”, breaking hearts and finding his true passion with his academics and playing basketball for the Wolf Point Wolves.

Though Wolf Point was his home, he let nothing tie him down. He always ventured off to be productive because “lazy” wasn’t in his vocabulary. Firefighting, seismographing, welding, and even working out on the ocean. A job was a job but his most favored of all was helping his beloved grandmother, Gertrude “Tootie” Clark and his mother, Ethel “Pie” Jackson.

His free time consisted of him kicking back and having some beers with his cousins and close friends, better known as his “brothers and sisters,” watching Jeopardy, playing cribbage, Yahtzee, and scrabble for hours. We all know how he liked to go for rides, whether it was around town or all the way to Las Vegas! What he cherished the most was spending time with his family.

Even though he never started a family of his own, he had plenty of nieces and nephews to love and care for as his own. He was “that” uncle. He was the true definition of genuine, never will you meet a man quite like him.

Brian is survived by his sisters, Brandy Jackson, Stephanie Jackson, Stacey Pipe, and LyDania Hagadone; brothers, Eagle King, Roland Clark and many more; adopted sisters Anna Jackie and Grace Pipe, Julie Wright and Paulette Pipe; adopted brothers Alfred Pipe, Hunter Adams Richard “Coke” Chase; nieces and nephews; Sabrina Black Eagle, Robert Jackson, Lacey Jackson, Tory Jackson, Kayo Jackson, John  Jackson, Lena Jackson, Kalissa Jackson, Phoenix McConnell, Loan McConnell, Damica McConnell, Kinna McConnell, Taime Pipe, Alex Pipe, Kira Pipe, Kim Pipe, Cassandra Pipe, Skylar Pipe, Theron Hagadone, Shawna Hagadone and fur babies Sunka and Diamond.  Sorry if we missed anyone, Lord knows there isn’t enough ink or paper in the world to list all those he held close to his heart.

He is preceded in death by his mother Ethel; his father Richard; his stepfather Dale; his brothers John Jackson, Baby Dale Jackson, and Josh Jackson; and his grandmother Gertrude “Tootie” Clark.
