Casper “Cap” Martin Czyzeski Of Lake Havasu City Az Formerly Of Glasgow Mt

October 28, 1930 — May 13, 2017

Casper “Cap” Martin Czyzeski was born October 28, 1930, in Glasgow, Montana, to parents, Peter and Victoria Czyzeski. He grew up in the Glasgow area and lived there until age 56.  Cap married Patsy Jennings in 1949. Together they raised five children.

Cap owned and operated a residential and commercial contracting business, “Cap’s Painting”. He started at Opheim AFB and later to Glasgow AFB as the base was being developed in the 60’s.  He was dubbed in the community of Glasgow to be the “fastest brush in town”.  Together, he and wife, Pat owned and operated the Rustic Lodge along Highway 2 from 1963 to 1972, and The Heritage Apartments and Daughters 4 dress shop until the 1980’s.  Cap enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, camping, coaching youth hockey, gardening and playing bridge.  Along with his family, he followed the Glasgow Scottie football and basketball teams.

In January 1987, Cap’s Painting relocated to Lake Havasu City, Arizona, where Cap and son, Joe, established a partnership. Cap retired from painting in 1998 and transitioned to semi-retirement by operating Cap’s Vending until 2010.  Living in a community of “snowbirds”, he also cared for residents homes while they were away for the summer. He played dominoes every Saturday night with his friends and enjoyed watching the Suns, Diamondbacks and Cardinals.

Until September 2016, Cap lived independently. Most recently, he resided at Prestige and Gems Assisted Living facilities in Lake Havasu City until an accidental fall took his life of 86 years on May 13, 2017.

Cap is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Patsy in 1999; sister, Dorothy Egosque; daughter, Lori Murphy, and an infant son. He is survived by sister, Judy Miller, of Glasgow, Montana; son, Joe (Erika) Czyzeski, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; daughters, Sandra (Bob) Adamson, of Castle Rock, Colorado, Toni (Jim) Hope, of Butte, Montana, Angela (Brian) Kiefer, of Corning, California; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside memorial service, arranged by Bell Mortuary, will be held at 3 PM, Saturday, September 23,  at the Highland Cemetery in Glasgow. Following the service, friends and family are invited to celebrate Cap’s life at the VFW from 4-6pm.
