Charles “Charlie” A. Chapman, 65, of Glasgow, passed away May 31, 2015 at Valley View Nursing Home in Glasgow.
Funeral services for Charlie will be held on Thursday, June 4th, at 1:00 p.m. at Bell Mortuary with Pastor Scott Hedegard officiating. The burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Glasgow. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 3, from 4-6 p.m. at Bell Mortuary. Tributes of sympathy may be left at bellmortuarymontana.com.
Charlie was born on July 4, 1949 to Glyn and Loa (Huxtable-Cruse) Chapman in Park City, Utah. He attended Boulder River School and Hospital where he graduated in 1962. He later moved to Malta, MT. In 1979, he moved in with the McAuley family for adult family foster care. After 5 years, he found his permanent home in Glasgow, MT. He moved into the Warren Group home with 7 housemates and worked at the Milk River Activity Center.
Charlie enjoyed motorcycle, horseback and convertible rides. He loved being outside. He enjoyed camping and going on bicycle rides too. He collected radios and acquired a large collection of country music. He loved watching TV, airplanes and parades. His birthday was a very special day for Charlie. He would say that the fireworks were being set off just for him.
Charlie is survived by his sisters; Lisa Chapman, Tina McCombs and Beverly (Eamon) Murnin; brother, James (Leah) Hall and numerous very close friends and care-givers at Milk River.
Preceding him in death are his parents.
