Jerry was born August 8, 1941, in Fairview, North Dakota to Clarence and Lorena Rasmusan.  He graduated from Glasgow High School in 1960.  In June of 1961 he became certified in collision repair and refinishing from the General Motors Training Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.   In August 1961 he enlisted in the Army National Guards, and completed 8 years of service.

He married the love of his life, Clara Pehan, on August 17, 1963, in Glentana, MT.  They made their home in Glasgow with their four children, JR, Larry, Terry, and Kerry.  He owned and operated Jerry’s Body and Alignment and also worked as shop foreman at Newton Motors. He enjoyed spending the weekends camping, hunting, and fishing with his family and friends.  He spent many years competing on bowling and pool leagues with his buddies.  He was part of the Road Angels Car Club, an active Glasgow Elks Club member, and enjoyed evenings at the Hideway Bar with his “Hideaway Family”. One of his greatest joys in life involved traveling and supporting his children and grandchildren in all their sporting activities.  He also loved the companionship of his many dogs through the years.  Jerry & Clara celebrated 50 years of marriage with a gathering of family and friends in August 2013.

He was preceded in death by his parents and beloved wife Clara (August 2015).  He is survived by his children:  JR (Dawna) Rasmusan, Larry Rasmusan, Terry (Mandy) Rasmusan, & Kerry (Kory) Hentges; his grandchildren:  Tasha (John), Torey (SaraAnn), Tyana, Devin, Dillen, Megan, DJ, Mylee, Kinsley, Erika, Travis, Jake, Krista, Nate, & Benson (great-grandchild).  He is also survived by a sister, Arlene, cousin Helen Crater-Swanson, and numerous brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
