James Russell Scoville, son of the late Russell Scoville and Berniece Baker Scoville was born in Wolf Point, Montana on August 1st, 1947. He died at Valley View Nursing Home in Glasgow, Montana on July 2, 2018.
James and Rose Triplett were married on February 8, 1969 in Princeton, Minnesota.
James is survived by his wife, Rose; daughter Elizabeth (Mark) Raye; son Nole (Heidi) Scoville; brother Gordon Scoville; grandchildren Cameron Bester, Tatum Scoville, Jessica Bester, Dante Scoville, Alana Scoville, and Emmett Raye.
James dearly loved his family. He will be missed by those who loved and cared for him.
James served enlisted in the US Navy for 3 years after high school graduation. During his lifetime he worked as a machinist, security guard, heavy equipment operator, and gunsmith. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, and building and shooting black power firearms. In his late 20s he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. As a result of his illness, Jim eventually was no longer able to work and so became a stay-at-home dad. Eventually he was admitted to Valley View Nursing Home and resided there for a period of 18 years or a little more.
Services will be July 11th at 1 p.m. at St. Raphael’s Church. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Wolf Point Montana after the conclusion of mass.
