Jeanette E. Forest, 81 passed away on February 19, 2018 surrounded by her family. Jeanette was the firstborn child of John & Esther (Opland) Brenden on October 16, 1936 in Glasgow. She was educated in Nashua and graduated from Nashua High School. On August 10, 1953 she married O.K. Forest and to this union they had three children; Deena, Mike and Kim. They made their home in Glasgow and a few years later moved to Wolf Point to run the Wolf Point Readi-Mix.
She had many talents some of her favorites were sewing, stain glass, planting flowers and making unique floral arrangements. Jeanette enjoyed bowling and was an avid reader. She was always doing a project. She went on wagon trains and rodeos in her early years, giving tours at the Fort Peck Dam and spent ten years designing at the Glasgow Flower Shop.
After retiring they moved to Park Grove by Fort Peck, later moved to Bullhead City AZ. to enjoy the warm weather until making their way back to Glasgow near family and friends.
Jeanette is survived by her husband O.K. of 64 years. Son: Mike/Laura Forest of Peerless and their children Chad/Jackie of Richland and Kyla Forest of Billings. Daughter: Kim/Dennis Visser of Williston and their children; Jade of Denver CO and his daughter Brianna of MN; Ryan and his children Kaeley & Elijah of Williston; and Jaclyn/Casey Bohanon of Lebanon TN. The children of the late Deena DeWitt: Stacey DeWitt and her children Walker DeWitt/Shayna and Slade Martinez all of Billings and Maestro Martinez of Wolf Point; Justin/Arden DeWitt and their children Miexel and LaSandra DeWitt all of Wolf Point. Jeanette is survived by three Sisters; Darlene/John Ramsbacher of Missoula, Betty/Daryl Trueblood of Kalispell and Susan/Dale Vertz of Tucson AZ. and a Brother Gary/Jo Brenden of Saint Augustine FL and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Brother Dick Brenden and Daughter Deena DeWitt.
Cremation has taken place and Bell Mortuary of Glasgow is assisting the family. A Celebration of Jeanette’s Life will take place on March 26, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Bell Mortuary Chapel; 701 2nd Ave South in Glasgow. Inurnment will take place later in the Forest family plot in Poplar Cemetery.
