June 29, 1949 — March 25, 2017

Jennifer “Jenny” Louise Reinhardt age 67, passed away on March 25, 2017, after a two-and-a-half-year battle with cancer. She was surrounded by family at the time of her passing. Jenny was 67 years old.

Jenny Reinhardt was born in Glasgow, Montana on June 29, 1949, to Lawrence “Bill” Kemp and Evelyn Wagner. She attended Glasgow High School, graduating in 1967. After spending some time living in California, Ohio and Florida, Jenny returned to Glasgow and married Howard Reinhardt. They had three children, Stephanie, Tony and Nathan.

Jenny worked in retail at Sears and JC Penney. She also worked at the Valley County Library before moving over to the Courthouse where she worked first as the secretary for the Fair Board, Refuse Board, and Airport Commission. Jenny was later appointed to fulfill the remaining term for the Valley County Treasurer and was re-elected to that post. Jenny retired as the Treasurer in July 2014. She could not stay retired for long and returned to work part-time for the Airport Commission just months after retiring. Jenny enjoyed working with the public and providing the best customer service. She was very detail oriented and would often work extra hours to make sure the books were not off by even one cent.

Jenny was active in her community and the Methodist Church. She served on a number of boards including the Glasgow School Board, Library Board, & Fair Board. She was a member of Soroptimist Club, Hospital Guild and United Methodist Women. She most recently served as Treasurer for the Methodist Church. Jenny was very giving of her time and energy to these groups and other people. Jenny was a fantastic baker and took great pride in the fancy desserts and cakes that she would make for community functions and family. If you ask any of her children or grandchildren, they will all tell you that she makes the best sugar cookies they have ever tasted.

Jenny had seven grandchildren who were a source of great joy. She would travel anywhere and everywhere to watch them participate in their activities whether it be swimming, basketball, golf, dancing, or a school concert. Gramma Jenny was a true sport and became a camper and fisherwoman. She even learned to gut fish so that they could fry up their catch.

Jenny was preceded in death by her father, Bill Kemp.  She is survived by her husband Howard and children Stephanie & Rett Hollar, Tony & Jenn Reinhardt, and Nate and Derin Reinhardt along with seven grandchildren Duncan, Morgan, Lily, Ella, Daegan, Walker & Maddox. She is also survived by her mother Evelyn Kemp and brothers Bob (Bonnie) Kemp and Ron (Margaret) Kemp as well has numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
