Natalie Ursula Long Hair, age 41, went to be with the Lord on August 16, 2019.
She was born in Culbertson at the Roosevelt Memorial Hospital on April 16, 1978. Natalie attended Culbertson School until her graduation day in May of 1997. She worked on the Tribal Election as a judge and commissioner for Ft. Kipp for five years. Natalie always worked hard to help raise money for the Fort Kipp Celebration every year. She was presently employed under the program HPDP.
She is survived by her three mothers- Lydia Long Hair, Della Thomas and Ceya Long Hair; a brother Dominique Buckles; Ashten Youpee; a niece, Ellyn Plain Bull; grandson, Daniel Menz; grandmother, Loretta Bearcub; uncles Maynard Black Dog, Archie Bearcub, Brian Black Dog, Duane Green; aunties, Arletta Black Dog, Patricia Ryderson, Shannon Loans Arrow, Dani Green, Vernita Buckles, Irene Wilkins, Leta Atkinson; cousins, Debbie (Myron) Uses Arrow, Nathaniel Long Hair, Alice Long Hair, Lynnette Long Hair; nieces, Maureen (Bruce) Nordwick, Nathelle (Jason) Frederick, Jennifer (Tony) Shields, Stephanie (Aaron) Shields; nephews, Michael Long Hair, Vincent Long Hair, Natron Long Hair, Thena Epps, Jeff Stump, John Turning Heart, Allison Bighorn, Jage Keeler, LaDonna Black Dog, LaVonne Black Dog, William Black Dog, Bobby Black Dog, Darwin Long Tree, Clarice Long Tree, Agnes and Rainey Bets His Medicine Derrick Long Hair, and Darren Long Hair.
She is preceded in death by her brother Wesley Long Hair; mothers Velma Broken Leg and Corrine Turning Heart; Nathaniel “Cowboy” (Iris) Long Hair, Lawrence (Martha) Black Dog and Mike Thomas.
A prayer service and wake will be held Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at the James Black Dog Center in Fort Kipp. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 22, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the James Black Dog Center in Fort Kipp with Father Martin Ezeihuaku officiating. Burial will be in the Fort Kipp Cemetery.
