Stella (Torgerson) St. Clair, 101, passed away Saturday, June 6th, 2015 at Frances-Mahon Deaconess Hospital in Glasgow, Montana.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 10th, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. 2015 at Bell Mortuary. Services will be Thursday, June 11, 2015 at 11:00 AM also at Bell Mortuary in Glasgow, Montana. Intermit will follow services at Highland Cemetery. A luncheon will follow interment at the Glasgow VFH. Tributes of sympathy may be left at www.bellmorturarymontans.com.
Stella was born December 4, 1913 to Mikal and Bergit Torgerson in Hatton, ND. She grew up in a family with 9 siblings in Grain Community, Montana north of Nashua. Stella loved being outdoors and helping her father farm. Stella loved every craft imaginable, dancing, exercising, cooking and baking everything; especially Norwegian foods.
Stella married Russell Edward St. Clair and they spent 33 years together until his passing on March 28, 1965. She was an excellent homemaker, worked as a bookkeeper, and in the jewelry business for St. Clair Jewelry.
She was a member of Eastern Star and numerous other civic activities in her community.
Stella is survived by her son, Charles St. Clair of Glasgow, MT; daughter, Nina (Jake) Wines of Helena, MT; six grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great, great, grandchild.
Preceding her in death are her parents, nine siblings, and three spouses.
